Some example of good and bad comments

Bad

"this date should be change" or "this is wrong"

Good

If you know that is wrong, there is a good chance that you know they correct answer, or at least where to find it. Therefore, make the change yourself: 1st January February 2020. And who would have thought, this is not only easier for the reviewed, this is also quicker for you because instead of writing four words ("this should be changed"), you write only one ("February"). Win-win!

Bad

"This should be re-written."

Good

Rewrite it yourself.

Or, if this is really not your job, or you just do not have a laptop at hand, then give at least clear guidelines. Clarify what you want to change: the content, the layout, the grammar, should it be longer or shorter, etc. No one can guess what you mean.

This goes hand in hand with the rule: "be pro-active"

Annotation: make clear annotations, explain abbreviations, write clearly --> you do not win any time if the reader has to come and ask you all time.
